Nikolai Saenko.

Taganrog. Diary 1941-1943

These are fragments from the diary of Nikolai Saenko, a worker in one of Taganrog's factories and a witness to the German occupation of the city. During the occupation, from 1 October 1941 to 1 September 1943, he wrote almost daily about what was happening: the relationship between the occupiers and the local population, cases of war crimes, looting and the sending of trophies home, the situation of deserters and the plight of the frontline town, bombed by their own units.
